A list of shelters open around R.I. for those without power, heat

The following shelters around Rhode Island have opened or are planning to open by the time designated, according to the governor's office. If you go, the governor's office suggests bringing bedding, extra clothing and toiletries.
Limited travel on roads was approved for those traveling for shelter, and statewide travel restrictions will be lifted at 4 p.m. Saturday.
BARRINGTON -- Primrose Hill School, 2 p.m. (temporary warming center in police/fire building)
BRISTOL -- Mount Hope High School
CHARLESTOWN -- Chariho High School, 455 Switch Rd., Richmond
COVENTRY -- Senior Center, 50 Wood St., 4 p.m. Saturday
CUMBERLAND -- High School, Mendon Road
CRANSTON -- Senior Center, 4 p.m.
EAST PROVIDENCE -- High School
HOPKINTON -- Chariho High School, 455 Switch Rd., Richmond
JAMESTOWN -- Melrose Elementary School
MIDDLETOWN -- Gaudet Middle School, 1113 Aquidneck Ave.
NEWPORT -- 24-hour warming shelters for at-risk seniors are at Florence Gray Center, One York St.; William J. Donovan Manor, 19 Chapel St.; and Gaudet Middle School in Middletown. Elders in need of transport may call Newport Police  (401) 847-1302.
PROVIDENCE -- Providence Career and Technical Academy, 41 Fricker St.
RICHMOND -- Chariho High School, 455 Switch Rd.
SMITHFIELD -- Cumberland High School, Mendon Road
SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- South Kingstown High School
TIVERTON -- Tiverton Middle School
WARWICK -- Veterans Memorial High School
WESTERLY -- Senior Center
