Mayor Allan Fung Kicks Off the Bristol 4th of July Drum and Bugle Corps Competition at Cranston Stadium
Cranston- Mayor Allan W. Fung will open the 27th Fourth of July Drum and Bugle Corps Competition at 7 pmtonight at Stebbins Field in Cranston Stadium.   For the first time in the history of the event, the City of Cranston will host this prestigious National Competition featuring drum corps from all over the country.  The event is the grand finale of the venerable Bristol 4th of July celebration, which hosts the nation’s oldest, continuous parade.
“It is an honor to host such a wonderful event in our city. I want to thank the Bristol 4th of July Committee for choosing Cranston as part of their time honored celebration of our nation’s independence. I invite all Rhode Islanders to come to Cranston to experience world class competition which features nationally ranked drum corps, including a 10 time world champion! “  said Mayor Fung.
