Larson Di Fiori is a doctoral student in Religious Studies who works on early Chinese philosophy and Daoism.

Abstract/内容简介
For someone thought to be a great sage and a founder of a tradition, Laozi （老子）is a mysterious figure. Confucius （孔夫子）, considered the founder of another great Chinese tradition, appears in numerous anecdotes and conversations. However, there is little to tell us what sort of person Laozi was, or what those who held him in regard imagined him to be. This time we will find out what Laozi was like, and review Daodejing, a collection of his thoughts.
